What is the purpose of the website?

The website is here to provide current information on what is going on in The Offords., and how to make contact with village organisations.

The intention is to list all village organisations, their contact points, and their programmes of events, if they so desire.

The home page has space for any important village news and forthcoming events.

There is no intention at this stage to open a forum of opinions, although if someone is prepared to moderate it, it remains a possibility. (GS)

How can I add material to the website?

If you are involved in any Offords based organisation, use the Contact Us form.

How do I get something corrected or removed?

As publishers we have discretion as to what is displayed on the site. If you find any entry offensive or significantly incorrect, contact us immediately and we shall take appropriate action. If urgent, phone Simon Young on 07718 807430

Who maintains the website?

Graham Sherlock spent many hours in the original design of the web site.  Sadly in summer of 2008 Graham lost his battle with cancer.  Simon Young has now taken on the support and maintenance of the web site - he sincerely hopes that he can do this in a way that Graham would approve of.

What future plans are there for the website?

The website is current at a pilot stage. The first aim therefore is to build up the content so that all village organisations who wish to be included can be, and a list of events kept up to date.
One addition will be to add a “mirror” site called www.offordscambs.org.uk, which I have registered. I am having problems with uk2.net getting the mirroring to work (GS)
