Village Hall Information

OFFORD VILLAGE HALL

 

OFFORD VILLAGE HALL is a registered charity number 302653 whose formal name is THE OFFORDS RECREATION HUT.

Its GOVERNING DOCUMENT is a Conveyance and Trust Deed dated 1 November 1966 and its OBJECT is to provide a Village Hall for the use of inhabitants of Offord D’Arcy and Offord Cluny and the neighbourhood.  

TRUSTEES AND GOVERNANCE: A Management Committee, which consists of elected, co-opted and representative members of Village Organisations, runs the Village Hall.  It meets every two months. Members are elected annually in accordance with the Trust Deeds which names Offord D'arcy Parish Council as Custodian Trustee.

ACTIVITIES IN THE YEAR: The Village Hall is extensively used by a wide variety of village organisations serving all age groups and providing a range of recreational, educational, arts and sporting activities.  The level of hiring income and successful fund raising activities, including a local lottery, provides adequate finance to meet regular expenditure and to undertake various sundry repairs and services.  The Hall has recently been decorated and plans drawn up and planning permission obtained for a kitchen and bar extension

OTHER INFORMATION: The Hall is available for local private hire as well as by local organisations.  Hire rates are shown in the attached document and enquiries about hiring the Hall should be made to the Hall Booking Secretary – Marlene Alderman on 01480 810609.
